Ive just joined tinder as a non paying member. 70% of the ladies I've viewed are gorgeous. Is this just a ploy by tinder to get me to fork out for a full membership? I suppose once I do all the ladies will look like Nora Batty!

Nah its more that tinder is a generic and popular platform so youll find a lot of "hotties" congregatig there. At the same time a lot of them are simply fake accounts.

I wouldnt pay for tinder though its just a terrible platform in general

I know loads of couples who met on Tinder and friends who go on lots of dates etc seems to work. I’ve never used any dating sites but if it dried up here I’d be on it !

Are you serious? Dude ive been using fab on and off for years and found more success with decent ppl than i ever had with tinder.

Tinder is just swipe left and right for a match like pot luck lottery. Fab actually requires effort to get somewhere and it pays off

For me it's a bit mixed I enjoy both tinder and fab. But if I had to rate success on the amount of people I match with on tinder vs fab, most of the people who I talk to on tinder leads to meets, dating for a while etc. Lots of convos on fab goes nowhere tbh but that can be due to distance.

Both platforms work well, it just depends on how you use it tbh. I normally match with a few people a day on tinder but again I'm very picky, so there are a lot of likes (almost 200) and over a 100 matches currently, been back on it just under 2 months.

There is an algorithm though where Tinder assesses the type of women who will be interested in you and shows your profile to new users etc. You can read the articles about this online and see if it makes sense for you. However tinder is more shallow or based on looks than fab, and I think good pics and a decent profile can get you somewhere.

I don't think the women on tinder put in any effort other than uploading a few pics and that works for them due to the nature of supply and demand there.

Personally I get most of my dates from bumble where the norm there is for people to actually say something about themselves and the women have to message 1st so they're not bombarded with dick pics from everyone they match with, which leads to some good conversations (so having a personality gets you places there).

My top tip is if they're putting up their insta or snap name on a site then they're not looking for a date.

I've a few dates from bumble lined up with the next one tomorrow night, and possibly one on Sunday too.

When going through a dating phase about six years back, I met lots of women on POF. Sex was pretty much guaranteed on the second date. I had a lot of fun. The novelty soon wears off though. I met only one woman on Tinder, she was lovely. We had a few dates and got as far as a kiss on the cheek when dropping her home after dinner. I really liked her. Sadly she had the fear of god put in her by a stalker! A woman I had met on POF months earlier.

Go with Bumble Op. The woman has to message first and within 24 hours. No message no date as they unmatch you. I have had more success on that app than Tinder.

Ironically the Lady I’m dating is from a blind date rather than a dating app.

I’ve used tinder and I’ve always been conflicted. Too much swiping and matches, it literally got to the point that it was really time consuming even just swiping.

Also, chatting.

I have to say… there are some real boring people about. With the same chatting convo. Gross

I had mixed feelings about tinder but I have to say, generally Fab was more fun for me and easier to skim through

My rules are only to swipe if there's a good bit of text and the pictures are interesting. If they can't be bothered to write something good about themselves then they're not going to bother having any good chat or meeting.

Always shucks me to hear how little success guys get from tinder

I’m a 5/10 on my very best day I still managed to do really well. 2017/2018 I probably had well over 200 dates/meets before settling into a relationship

Although I do think tinder has gone down since then. Lots more cam girls, OF advertising’s, girls just chasing insta followers etc

Just to update, I've got the 2nd one of the week for Sunday confirmed so bumble is definitely in the lead for me so far.
