Should a fantasy stay a fantasy?

I switch between thinking no, I want to do the things I've fantasied about.

Then also think yes they should, because I think my imagination may possibly be better than reality (in some cases).

If all fantasies are played out, what then do we dream of?

I’ve noticed something that’s very different between men and women. From the people I’ve met.

Women are more than happy to keep fantasies as just that. In their heads. Men on the other hand are more inclined to try and act them out.

I think that if it is something you have never done then it is a fantasy.

It really gets us in the mood when we talk about them together and see if we can act them out..

Some we have done but some we are still to do.

The trouble is we can always think of another fantasy.

Fantasies manifest as different things for different people and are intrinsically linked to who what where and when. A fantasy of desire or pleasure is one thing. a fantasy of feeling part of something intimacy or belonging another. They should all be treated the same. Explore them. That is what it is to be human. The best ones sometimes grow from the seemingly unattainable. Act on them. Follow them. If you don’t you will never find where they could lead. Accept them and learn from them. Each one will open a path that will allow a new one to grow from it. Sometimes they become a sharp turn that leads you away from them as they are not for you… that too is fine. But at the end of the day, fantasies and dreams should only leave you with the type of regret that is ‘I wish I hadn’t’ rather than ‘I wish I had.’

One thing I’ve learned is that turning a fantasy into a reality takes a huge amount of work, it’s all in the planning, mental rehearsing and detail, it’s like good acting. Our imaginations need to do a lot of work first and then we plan and create and execute it right down to details like words, textures, smells, colours. It’s pretty amazing when you got both you but particularly fit the recipient , but the process is a lot of work.

And this is why couples who are in here really intrigue me, I think it is such a confident couple that can talk and listen to each other’s desires without judging, but only willing to listen to learn more about each other.
