In fact most cake. someone say cake!!!? ...yes, this^^ " Ohh here's the recipe to my favourite cake 'Mississippi Mud Cake' Ingredients (1 Block) 250g of Butter 1 Block) 150g of Plain Cooking Chocolate 1 lb of Granulated Sugar 1 Teaspoon of Instant Coffee 2 fI. oz. of Hot Water 2.5 fl. oz. of Whisky 12 oz. of Plain Flower 2 oz. of Self Raising Flower 2 oz. of Drinking Chocolate 2 Eggs, Lightly Beaten Method Melt Chocolate, Butter and Sugar in a bowl over hot water. Mix hot water and instant coffee together and add to Chocolate, Butter & Sugar mixture and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add Whisky. In a large bowl sift Flowers and Drinking Chocolate. Pour wet ingredients, made earlier, into Dry Ingredients and mix well with spoon or spatula until all lumps have gone. Add Eggs and mix well in. Note: I Usually measure and mix dry ingredients while waiting for chocolate to melt, than I add butter, then Suger, stiring in between. Pour into a greased & lined 9* square tin and bake for about 1hr.15mins. on gas mark 3 (I use 4) 325 deg F. 170 deg C. 135 deg C. Fan Assisted Oven. The best way is to stab it in the middle with a knife or skewer and keep cooking until it comes out smoothly. Leave it to cool thoroughly then turn onto a wire rack to cool further. KEEPING TIME : 5 DAYS ( if you are lucky enough to save it that long) History Recipe from *Australians Woman's Weekly Cakes & Slices books, available at W.H. Smiths Every time I make the Cake it is always slightly different, sometimes very sticky, other times not so much but it is always very nice. ENJOY | |||
