I was walking my dogs along a track with stone walls either side of me in the dark. No street lights up in a rural area, silent as no traffic. A lamb on the other side of a wall bleated, it sounded mega loud next to me, I nearly jumped over the wall at the other side of me

Once i jumped out of my skin walking on the driveway in the middle of the night when i caught something in the corner of my eye... turned out to be a flower

I wouldn't do night walks as I really don't like being out in the dark by myself. Especially as there's been a lot of attacks in my area at night over recent weeks and months x

I don't think I've ever come across anything creepy. I love night/dark walks. It's quiet, peaceful. For me I feel safe doing it too although it should never be the first thought of a woman.. "is this safe, should I be going out in the dark alone?"

If I take the mutt out in the woods at night, it never fails to put the willys up you when you walk under a tree and spook and entire flock of birds into the air at once

Mh experience wasn't in the dark but in the mist off the beaten track in the lake district.

Visibility was about 20 metres and I was totally disorientated.

I'm the mist I could here dogs barking do decided to head towards them.

3 big dogs came bounding out of the mist, sniffing around clearly on a mission.

I was expecting to see the owners following them but there was no one, no one calling them and I was in the middle of nowhere.

A slightly bizarre and spooky moment.

I’d like to, it’s relaxing, and peaceful. Sadly, my area has its fair share of hoodlums around that make it intimidating to be out alone. It makes me anxious and stressed, so I avoid it.

I cycle to work just after 3 in mornings I go past a rail bridge and one morning was a man stood at bottom of steps wearing like a trench coat just stood was weird I think he maybe was a ghost x

Surprised how many of you a worried about walking around at night, totally understand why, it's just a shame that we as a society have to live in perpetual fear get your boots on, grab your jacket, take a flashlight and give it a try

Years ago me and my husband were taking our dog for a walk ,We we’re in a field and I had a large torch and was shining it around and I picked up a animal

.It was way to big for a domestic cat but was sleek and had a long tale.To this day I was pretty sure it was a puma or something along them lines my husband thinks my mind was playing tricks on me but I still got the hell out of that field very quickly .

Many years ago when I was a young lad and still living in rural Ireland I was walking home from the pub after partaking in some social lubricant.

Really bright moonlight night and I noticed someone walking about 100m behind me. So I stopped so he could catch up on the basis that I would know who it was and we could chat shit.

But he stopped and stepped under a tree.

Odd I thought, kept walking and stopped a few more times and each time he stopped and hide. Eventually I got home and after drinking about 9 litres of water I noticed he was standing on the road looking in.

It was only the next day when I woke/sobered up I realised how bloody weird the whole thing was

On and another time I was walking home from the pub (again) through a field and I frighted a pheasant who flew off about 6 inches from my face. That I believe was the closest I ever came to having a heartattack

I do ultra challenge walks for charity some take me over 12 hours so walking I the dark with head torch scares the hell out of me when I hear rustling turn n a pair of eyes r looking at you luckily so far only been deers n a fox
