Similar to you we both stopped working at age 57. I still did a few contracts here and there Mr N stopped altogether. We sold up, downsized and moved to the seaside. Far and away the best decision we ever made on a life quality level.

We smoked up until we were 30. We were talking about it this morning actually wondering how on earth anyone can afford it.

I can't remember how much we used to pay but we decided to stop when we went swimming at 30 years old and were overtaken by the oaps swimming club while we clung breathless to the side.

I cant understand how anyone could afford to buy packs of cigarettes either, im currently 8 weeks into my stop smoking program after being a smoker for over 10 years but i smoked roll ups cos it was insanely cheaper compared to cigarettes

mita funny how we almost all mention the benefits of saving money than expressing how much our health would improve first.

We know it healthier to quit, but the cost is the first thing I think about. Weird really

Taking vitamin D. I take a combination pill of C, D and Zinc. Far less tired than I used to be.

On a grander scale; doing things for money that I actually like doing. Made that decision about 15 or so years ago. Work doesn't have to be miserable.

The same applies to sugar. They've had to tax it to try and get us to cut down on it even though we KNOW it's not good for our health.

Cutting contact with some horrifically toxic people.

I don't care if they're my family, friends, family friends, I don't want them in my life and there's no reason I need to continue to tolerate them.

Life has improved an enormous amount.
