The most bizarre dream you ever had

Can you remember what was the strangest and most bizarre dream youve ever had? Do you remember much of it? How long ago did you have that dream?

Im not a lucid dreamer myself but recently i had a dream where i very vividly experienced being decapitated I remember much of the context off the dream and some smaller details.

I was in a laboratory, like some frankenstein horror story, but i was viewing it as though i were a spectator, a crazy scientist was trying to resurrect his semi decomposing son whos head remained in a jar of green liquid, the son was also very much still alive and going bat shit crazy, shaking and twisting the various tubes attached to his, bubbles rising from his mouth as he screamed and gargled with a psychotic, murderous look in his eyes

A headless body was layed out on a table, a body that was intended to receive the head of the scientists son. But the scientist kept running into complications, tests came through from the machines the scientist was working on, to say that the body, like many other cadavers before, was unsuitable to accept the transplant.

So a new body was brought foward, a live one, the frail man who was only dressed in a pair of ragged pants, jibbering away as though he were sedated and unaware of what was happening, almost willingly shuffled to an angled, empty bed like table. He climbed on and was strapped in by an assistant of the scientist.

(This is where it gets weird)

Within the dream i suddenly found myself looking through the perspective of this frail man as he lay on the bed. I knew in my own mind what was about to happen, but i didnt panic at all, i was immensely calm despite knowing i was about to be decapitated.

Just moments later i heard the thud of a lever being pulled, and not seconds later i felt this firm but relentless pressure quickly sweeping through my neck from one side to the other. It wasnt more than a third of the way through my neck that i began to sense a burning sensation coming from my neck as it was being severed in two. Then just 2/3s of the way as the blade was cutting through my neck, everything went black. There was no longer any sense of feeling or sound. It occured so suddenly yet also felt as though time began to slow down as it happened.

Just a moments after everything went black, i found myself waking up once again still inside the dream, my perspective leaves the body of this frail man, and i look around, bewildered at what i just experienced.

Did i really just experience having my head cut off?

Errrr usually the ones that freak me out are the sex dreams with people I never thought of sexually. Particularly in real life, and it kinda blows my mind when I wake up and it feels all very like

“WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK”

In the house I grew up in there was a long hallway in an L shape with rooms coming off.

There was a bathroom at the bottom of the L (so round the corner) and my parents bedroom was at the top of the L.

I dreamt that some mannequins came to life and were restraining me from running to my parents and every time I tried to scream my voice was like it was on a dial being muted.

That was more a nightmare but hey ho.

(don't worry, I didn't suffer any childhood trauma before you ask!)

Also used to have a dream that I could float down the stairs.

I don't really dream all that much now.

And if I do it's usually my husband doing something that's annoyed me and I wake up annoyed which carries on throughout the course of the day.

I had one of those "what the fuck?" dreams a few months ago where a group of men somehow got inside my house and were going to sexually assault me. One of them climbed on top and i could feel his cock and balls on my back while i watched the others snoop around my home. Weird thing was though i wasnt panicking in that dream either, i just layed their on my front on top of my bed. Good thing i woke up before anything else happened

Glasgow

A couple of months ago, I dreamt that I was watching GOLD, and they were finally showing the "banned episode of Last Of The Summer Wine."

Foggy's discovery of a dismembered but still screaming goat leads the trio to learn of Maké Majé, a malevolent spirit that lives in mirrors and might be responsible for the recent spate of child murders.

At some point I found myself in the episode, and I successfully tricked Maké (now in the body of the actress Tamsin Greig) into posessing a laptop that I quickly destroy.

There was also a water flume. I can't remember how that factored in.

Most of my dreams are so bizarre and odd you could probably write a book about how fucked up they are.

I genuinely can't think of one I can share that wouldn't result in a ban.

Disclaimer:

Weird, odd, dark and just unfathomable rather than sick and illegal.

I rarely remember my dreams unless I'm poorly or if I go back to sleep after a chunk of time wide awake - I don't sleep deeply then so my dreams are vivid.

The weirdest one was where I dreamed I had a baby. It was so vivid that when I woke up it took me a bit of time to realise that I didn't in fact have a baby that would need a feed. I'd got out of bed to feed the dream baby and had a very confused couple of minutes working it out.

I can only imagine the sheer confusion of just standing around scratching your head and questioning your reality

My recurring dream is dialling a phone number but I just can't get it right. All different types of phones sometimes a mobile or an old rotary telephone

Under the Duvet

My dreams are sometimes so mundane that even in the dream I'm thinking god this is boring.

Ie I was at the laundrette doing my washing.

Nothing happened. That was it.

East Sussex

I've had three dreams that I still vividly recall.

Two bring me peace.

One in which I'm engulfed by a tidal wave brings me terror

one which I do remember and probably because it was so bizarre featured myself in a launderette which was at the bottom of a road where I once lived. hiding out the back of the launderette were Sid James , Clint Eastwood and Frank Harper ( of lock stock / football factory ). The three had just taken part in a failed post office robbery and the police were outside. very strange , one day I'll get it analysed .

Most of it is quite vague now but I do recall something about them taking their chances leaving through the front door like butch Cassidy and Sundance or digging a tunnel.

Ya know as i was reading that it suddenly came to mind that maybe its part of your brain trying to contextualise something about your life that youre unsure of, especially that last part about taking chances and going through the front door. Maybe theres something youre not sure about doing and taking the risk of doing it is like the uncertainty and thrill of them going through the front door against all odds in a heroic fashion

Wakefield

I once dreamed I was stood outside my local Tesco. A car drove past and someone dropped a hand grenade out of the window that landed next to my feet.

I think I looked it up in a dream book at the time and explosions were linked to sex!
