Cheese on toast and toasties

Jump to newest

I mean, such a great comfort food. I’m Obsessed!!!

Just made myself some cheese on toast

Sour dough bread + cheddar + Parmesan + anchovies

Im still salivating it was so good.

What do you like on yours? A slice of tomato? What kind of bread do you go for? Any sauces?

What about a good ole toastie? I love a cheese and mushroom toastie! Or cheese and ham.

Shall we talk about the all French Croc Monsieur? OBSESSED whenever I go to Paris. Like whoever thought to put béchamel on top, deserves a place in heaven. So I hope they did get that spot

3..2..1… say CHEESE

Cheese on toast I'm pretty straight, cheese, Worcester sauces. Only put the Worcester sauce on when the cheese has heated slightly.

Cheese toasties, I'm fab straight, I'll stick anything in there. Red onion, mushroons, jalapenos, chili jam, beans etc.

Mozzarella and tomato ciabatta with pesto

Or Brie and bacon with cranberry!

To be honest, any type of toastie. If it has melted cheese and bread I’ll eat it

Anchovies? Oh Super Slute, I thought you only put delicious things in your mouth?

There's an amazing cafe in Leicester that do incredible cheese toasties - at Halloween they did a roasted pumpkin, sage and goats cheese and mozzarella toastie that was...

I also do an annual Christmas toastie on Boxing Day - shredded brussel sprouts, brie, cranberry sauce, fried roast potatoes so they are extra crispy, bit of turkey. Heaven.

On a mooch

Not a cheese fan but in a sealed toastie love sandwich bacon, onion, a little squeeze of tomato paste and some mozerella or if can’t get the bacon Parma ham, lots of it.

Anything goes in a sealed toastie here, meat ragu, chicken, mash & gravy, sausage & beans.

Their grilled cheese sandwich with thick cut maple syrup bacon is divine - and also very good for soaking up the excesses of the night before

Yep, silverskin pickles sliced in halves or quarters scattered over is really nice.

But usually I keep it simple. Brown sauce, smooth Branston pickle or Worcester sauce, all good for the tang!

Butter (not Flora) side B

Add Marmite

Then lay on finely sliced mature Cheddar Cheese.
