Sedgemoor

I am currently ilL with a non-Covid general flu thing, what are your best tips and recipes for getting back up to operating capacity because I am currently just meandering around the house with a runny nose and I hate being out of action.

Scunthorpe

Lemsip and soft tissues, then just continue as usual.

If you're well enough to be up and about, keeping busy will distract you from your symptoms.

Manchester (she/her)

Paracetamol, herbal tea, avoid dairy. Keep hydrated. Don't push yourself.

I find eucalyptus oil (aromatherapy) helpful but it's probably all in my head

For me it would be cold and flu tablets. If you have a sore throat or cough, hot water with lemon and honey in. Plenty of fluids and rest.

My go-to strategy is to lie in bed all day, occasionally making over the top groaning sounds that nobody else can hear, and occasionally messaging/texting someone saying I feel like shit.

It doesn't really help fix it, but it does pass the time.
