"We just leave our honeysuckle apart from keeping it tidy and stopping it taking over the wisteria. I'm no Percy Thrower but in your position I'd tidy the dead undergrowth (is any of it green when you cut into it?), repair the trellis and sort out the broken end of the honeysuckle. It's remarkably sturdy in my experience. I bet it looks fantastic with the lights." Normally it just gets trimmed and trained a little as not to get into guttering etc. No, totally dead, I've been tackling it bit by bit as it's on front of house and trying not to have lots of patchy gaps. It did last year, but just not enough lights

"[Trellis Removed by poster at 27/11/21 14:17:01]" I've never had a Honeysuckle but according to Mr Google, Honeysuckle is a plant that is sometimes called “woodbine.” The flower, seed, and leaves are used for medicine. ... Honeysuckle is also used for urinary disorders, headache, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer. Some people use it to promote sweating, as a laxative, to counteract poisoning, and for birth control.
