Oh no, what sad news. Andy was my first crush. I used to hide behind the sofa and peek out at him cos I used to really like him and went really shy when he was on the TV

"R I P .

Amazingly, Burt Bacharach, the guy who wrote most of those hits, is still alive and kicking.

"R I P .

not many of the good oldies left now

Amazingly, Burt Bacharach, the guy who wrote most of those hits, is still alive and kicking."

But his writing partner, Hal David, died only a few weeks ago too.

Andy Williams; great singer linked to some superb songs and a good vocal range too!

An era of good singers is diminishing fast; who's left?

Sadly, Engelbert Humperdinck.

Only thing you can hold against Andy Williams is that he was singularly responsible for bring to the world the joy that is....... The Osmonds... Oh dear...... Lol!

Actually used to love his show which went out on Monday evenings on BBC in the early 70's, even though I was only about 10 or 11 and he was so un-cool among all my schoolmates it was unbelievable. Fortunately, I learned to appreciate his talent over the years. And a genuinely nice guy too, by all accounts.

I love his version of Can't Take My Eyes Off You, one of the few songs that perk me up when I am low.

Really sad to hear the passing of Andy Williams a true legend of the crooners.

My personal favourite was England's very own Matt Munroe.. what a voice

All songs mentioned are classics, though my particular favourite is "House of Bamboo".

A very talented singer who'll be sadly missed.
