Ghosted and no show on my birthday. Fem.

Just had my birthday. Advertised a meet a week before. Trawled through 100's of offers, and settled on a well verifeid chap. Confirmed on the day he was coming. Worked my birthday plans around getting back to the hotel, bathed and ready ect.

We messaged at the meet time to confirm he was coming. We had a message he was running an hour late. Then ghosted.

Normally - yes we get stood up quite a bit. It would not of been a problem. But it was my birthday!

Why am I posting this? Not for birthday well wishes. It's now past. But if just one person reads this, and is considering time wasting. Please have the curtisy to cancel. Don't just ghost. Thank you. Fem.

A happy belated birthday.

I share your sentiments. Ghosting is horrid and the perpetrator doesn't seem to know how it can affect another.

Our rule is not to do meets on birthdays or holidays. But due to covid and lack of meets for 18 months, we decided to. Gose to prove not to break our rules. One guy has now messaed it up for others in the futer.

Awww that's annoying, I feel like there should be a strike rule, (maybe three is too many) where you then report their ghosting and then they lose their verification,

Or a shows that they have failed to attend in the past as a negative verification as if Terry have done it before they will do it again.

Then that gives those of us that are reliable a chance to stand out

Sounds like he made his own 'mess' at just the thought of meeting

That's awful.

I got ghosted once 2 years ago. I was gonna meet someone at a hotel but she never turned up. She didn't even message me or anything to let me know what was happening.

I was quite upset that I was gonna be stuck at a hotel all evening on my own but luckily, when I told a couple of friends what happened, they invited me to come along with them to a club and so I did and ended up having a good evening.

The capacity of guys to timewaste is staggering.

I was once sat with a sexually clad goddess for one to claim to be outside. Gave him house number then he ghosted us. Total prick but his loss.

Sorry to hear that - if there was only a system where you could report no shows so that they appear on the persons profile

If we travel for a meet we make sure we have another reason for being there so if there is a no show time isn’t completely wasted.

People wasting your time is annoying as it is, but when its meant to be a fun or special occasion it’s even worse.

It’s easy to say block and move on, but that won’t get your time back.

Perhaps next time, if there is a next time, limit it to people you have met before and so are more confident they will show up.

Good idea, however we genrally book a hotel away for the night. Which we had dine this time. Not, that we'd booked this area to meet him. The meet was a second thought to our plans. But annoying that it was my birthday, so a real let down.

Time wasters are annoying , you can normally tell who the genuine ones are to the ones just looking for a quick wank too on the messages but some still slip through .

Sorry to see that it messed with your plans for your birthday , I hope you still had a good day though

Hi,

Sorry this has happened. I’ve had a few meets planned in the past and a couple have ghosted, after they made me pay for the hotel, I had travelled, and they disappeared completely and blocked me.

I think there is a lot of non genuine people on here, but then there are many genuine people..

Thanks for posting this - hopefully it make at least one person on this site think and not mess people around.

Such a system would be open to far too much abuse.

For example.

A girl refuses to meet you? Report her for a “fail to attend”.
