"Piranesi by Suzanna Clarke, sooo different to her first novel, probably very few peoples cup of tea but I think it’s great " Piranesi is a fantasy novel by English author Susanna Clarke, published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 2020. It is Clarke's second novel, following her debut Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2004), published sixteen years earlier. Piranesi won the 2021 Women's Prize for Fiction.

"Piranesi by Suzanna Clarke, sooo different to her first novel, probably very few peoples cup of tea but I think it’s great " Don’t ask me why but for 30 seconds I thought that was the lady who wrote the hunger games. It’s not, incidentally. Oh related note, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was a good book. It’s set like 50 years before the hunger games (roughly). Gives a lot of background to the world the saga is set in while still being good, and not just a rehash of the original 3 books.

"Weirdly, I’ve departed from my usual diet of Lee Child s ‘Reacher’ series, to delve into Barack Obama’s memoir." I don’t usually read memoirs or biographies/ autobiographies, but sometimes they fascinate me if the author has put it right (right for me that is).

"Piranesi by Suzanna Clarke, sooo different to her first novel, probably very few peoples cup of tea but I think it’s great " I enjoyed Piranesi, but yes, it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste, I’m ploughing slowly through 4321 by Paul Auster and am about 900 pages into this 1000 page book and actually I stopped caring a little while ago but I’m not giving up on it this far in. I’m so looking forward to reading something else though
