Ok, one for the ladies I think,unless the men have the answers or advice...

Firstly, does anyone else go through stockings like bloody water or is it just me? Seem to spend alot of money on them and they still don't last..

Secondly, Putting them on

I feel very sexy getting all dressed up but can find myself bloody sweating sometimes attaching them..

Is there a nack? You'd think I'd know it by now..

Something I have found good for hold ups to keep them up is the hold up roll on. Highly recommended...

Assemble the suspender belt and stockings combo on the bed. Easy to see if they are attached properly.

When it comes to stocking and such depends on if I plan on playing in them or if they just for show

Show one’s I will spend money on

Play ones all ways cheap on £2-£5 a pair as I know they going to get ladder and such

I know it’s not ideal for spontaneous sex

As for getting them on without sweating

Attache them Supenders first before putting them on then step in to them like a pair off tights and pull one side up to the knee then the other side and work your way up and then clasp at the back

Oh I hear you girlfriend!!!

I go from feeling sexy, sweaty, to then muttering "ffs what's the point", to then getting the giggles, and collapsing on the bed!

I use the metal clips which I've adjusted so they are long,before attaching to the stocking.

Unfortunately my legs are too fat for holdups

Yes - definitely put the "kit" together first - then put it on - much easier than attaching suspenders to stockings whilst wearing them! Also they stay attached for longer doing it this way!

Yes - definitely put the "kit" together first - then put it on - much easier than attaching suspenders to stockings whilst wearing them! Also they stay attached for longer doing it this way!

Didn’t see this before I commented. Sounds a much better idea. I will try this. Even though I’ll probably get all twisted and tangled

The easiest method I've found is to put on suspender belt, put on stockings, lower the belt down to upper thigh height and attach clasps to the top of stockings. Then raise belt up and adjust. (If all that makes sense). Less acrobatic contortion involved

I still stand by the all in one stockings and suspenders from snag tights, seriously look them up, so much easier to go on and theres no need for fastening them up or them falling down, whats not to like. I'll never buy normal holdups and suspenders again.

I would suggest buying good quality stockings …. and make sure your nails are smooth before putting them on - less snags! The good thing about stockings is that if you put your finger through the nylon, you have lost only one leg, if you have others of same brand / colour etc, you need only use another one - I do that with FF stockings all the time, too expensive to throw away the pair.

I would also suggest good quality metal clips … my suspenders always are xxx

Oh knickers! Always on the outside.

I learned about the trick to attach and step in from a lovely TV on here. I can't claim the idea as my own.

If the suspender straps are adjustable, I make them longer so that they don’t pull as I attach them, then I shorten them all to the right length so they end up in just the right place. It works for me.

They do a much wider variety of sizing for people, so longer leg slimmer sizes and short keg bigger sizes.

They're not quite as nice as normal stockings in yn opinion but they can still look hot!

Its much easier if you have someone else clip them up for you when you have slipped them on only snag with that is it normally leads straight to bed and not get the chance to go out and show off lol. Have found some of the fishnets from fancy dress shops are generally some what tougher and have the same effect

The angel that got me so interested in vintage and corsetry used to wear gloves to put them on and take them off, treated them like a piece of art rather than a long sock. Watching her getting dressed was worth and admission price. She took her time, admired the progress at every step. So as much as a bloke can have an opinion... I'd probably suggest patience... Oh And gloves.

Take your rings off and wear cotton gloves to put them on too.

Now thinking am I strange I have never had an issue attaching the stocking to the suspender belt... However I do avoid places like Ann Summers and spend a bit of money on them.

What katie did and any metal clips are my go too

I even have a sexy photo of me putting them on...

Definitely metal clips. I also do the back strap 1st and leave the front one long. Can kind of sit down and attach the front one then. Stand up, adjust, have fun x
