Somewhere In The Ether…

….handwriting?

Is it legible to the everyday person or else does it resemble something that would likely stump even the Enigma device?

Dreadful. I have to print in capitals or I can’t read anything I’ve put down.

I'm told it's quite neat. That's the case when I'm in a methodical frame of mind. When not, we're in cat across the page territory!!

Depends how quickly I'm writing.

I can write very neatly, our wedding invitations and place cards were handwritten by me.

I used to have lovely handwriting but in these days of texting, emails etc it’s not something I do much of, when I do it looks terrible now

God knows. I don't have to write anything at all during my day job as everyone is done on the laptop.

Maybe I need to make sure I haven't forgotten how to, considering Christmas cards will need done shortly..

Sometimes it's neat, sometimes it's kind of a mess. Mostly depends on if I can be bothered taking the time or if it's just another form that needs filling out.

If I write a birthday card or something others will read it is neat and complimented on. If I scribble for myself it's all over the place.

I used to have beautiful handwriting and I'd get comments about it, I'd get asked to write wedding invitations and the like.

These days though, I can barely hold a pen correctly and sometimes can't even ready own scrawl

Has anyone here ever witnessed either a GP or else a maths teacher with neat handwriting?

Do such beings actually exist? A bit like aliens and Bigfoot….

I'm also really good at maths so maybe that explains mine .

If I concentrate and have time and a decent pencil it's good. My lab books are illegible, there are sections that even I struggle with.

I get hand cramps too, the amount of arm waving in exams when I was younger was ridiculous

It’s absolutely shit. Thumbs are so stiff and sore where they attach (especially in winter) to the hand that using a pen for more than a sentence is torture. Got collared off a security guard at a factory we were doing some civils at a few weeks back showed me the days before sign in copy and said what the fuck is that haha
