You’re all individuals

My nan’s spare room.

Now acknowledging the obvious Life of Brian reply of

I’m not.

Are you an individual or a conformist

I’m very much an individual with a little streak of conformist running through me, but I think I’ve been indoctrinated to be that way.

I have always been an individual in the terms of tastes, clothing, likes and dislikes but toe the party line when I think it’s sensible thing to do.

Manchester (she/her)

It very much depends on the circumstances and how much it matters to me. Fitting in makes for an easier life, but I won't if it's important to me

"I am the iconoclast, I march to the beat of a different drum! "

The thing with marching is people join you and soon you have a long conga line.

Do you have to be either? I’m not a non-conformist but I’m not a crowd follower either. I think it’s impossible to not conform to some behaviours and things in life.

I am an individual who sometimes conforms. Will that do?

It's easier that way and I'm a fan of an easy life

On a mooch

The only thing I conform to is the laws of the land and basic manners, hard not to with my upbringing. Everything else I’m a stubborn soul and do as I please, not what pleases others

I'm not one to follow the crowd. Our views might align but I'm not going to be immersing myself.

I also don't take too kindly to being 'told' what to do so you'll find me straying away purposely.

Whose actually going to admit to being a conformist? We all like to think of ourselves as being different, which to an extent we all are, but my take on it is we are social animals and so far more conforming than the other. We have evolved to follow rules and respect social conventions. It’s what enables us to live in vast conurbations, cheek by jowl, without too much strife. Is that a bad thing? The real nonconformists are people like Rosa Parks who took a stand at great personal risk. How many of us would honestly be that nonconformist?

I don't conform to anything really. Obviously I know how to behave appropriately in different settings but I'm just me and behave however I feel at that moment.

I do what I like. I consider the consequences and as long as my actions do not lead to problems for others then those actions are undertaken. I do not measure such actions beyond consequence and my perception of whether that is negative.

Anyone who is a swingers in our society has taken the step of breaking with our prudish conventions regarding sex and must be individuals compared to others.
