Lets remember the homeless at Christmas

She sat quiet on the side of the street,

Dirty old coat and bare torn feet,

Her eyes tired and old,

Pulling in the coat to keep out the cold,

Hungry and wet,

Drinks to forget,

Life is just hard when no one sees you,

Life gets harder when no one wants you,

Buys a bottle to warm her and a needle to calm her

Sleeps where she sat

Stops breathing thats that

No one noticed her die did no one care

Or ask why

Just think be nice and sometimes share

I usually buy £5 vouchers for Greggs and hand them out to the homeless in December but sadly won’t be able to afford to this year, also with having a young baby I can’t help out like I often do but I will be taking my older sons old clothes down to the shelter which we do yearly
