No we ran a thread in to the 400s one night don’t think admin were happy about it got shut down

I'm pretty sure it's 175 to trigger auto thread closure. I think any posts started before and submitted after close will still appear which is why we sometimes see a higher number.

It is a very peculiar mechanism. And the ‘quoting’ mechanism is so archaic. This place must quality under the internet antiques roadshow of forums
