I find the very selective (borderline rude) profiles are some of the friendliest people. Maybe they don't get many nice friendly messages. And maybe the friendly looking profiles get too many messages so either delete without reading or they're not what they try to portray.

When you’re new here it’s actually very helpful to have such an array of different profiles and some commonalities. Once you start to delve deeper into the site and the forum, you can understand why some have such stringent boundaries.

Plus, not everyone here is a professional writer so of course there’ll be lots of grammatical errors or people using the same phrases (“then please pass me by”, for instance),

Anyway, profiles act as a great filter for both the browser and the profile owner.

I think a minimum number of photos should be compulsory on a profile. It annoys me when you receive a message but there are no messages attached to the message and there are none on the profile either. Those messages get deleted.

The other one is when they say, I read your profile but it's obvious that they haven't.

I'm probably guilty of some of the things listed in this thread though. I'd hate to sound entitled or rude but isn't it better to be blunt in stating what you're looking for?

I don't mind seeing 420 friendly I know if I see that we have something in no common. I appreciate it's not for everyone, I have PTSD and it really helps, it basically allows me to function and get some sleep without nightmares.

That I 100% agree with. The original post was if in your 40's grow up not teenagers. I'm 41 (42 tomorrow) I enjoy it, it helps I know lots of people whom it does help. Really should be legalized that's a whole other convo though.

I have a family member with MS who smokes just to function properly so fully understand the benefits. Unfortunately I have a family member who smokes it everyday just for shits and giggles and I see the massive negatives as well
