Jools Holland is not far off being the only thing worth watching on TV, if truth be known.

Top Musician, Top Show, Top Bloke.

Crete or LANCASTER

The thing with Jools, is its All about the music.

When he accompanies a guest, he doesn't take over, or dominate the music. And you can see the sheer joy and pleasure on his face as he appreciates another musicians talent.

Seen him and his 20 odd piece band many times. It's usually a sellout gig.

Like the great John Peel, he has given many bands and singers a break .

Is there anyone who he hasn't played with ?

Last series gave me my ‘new artist’ album of 2012 (so far) … Alabama Shakes’ ‘Boys & Girls’. I seem to remember picking up Morcheeba and Antony & The Johnsons from early series too.

He’s undoubtedly talented and influential but I don’t like his particular brand of music ... would guess he's good value for a night out though.

He really knows how to entertain.

Plus his show has given so many new musicians/singers the break they needed and launched them into stardom.

I love his shows as well as live gigs.

Tonight's show is repeated as an extended show on Friday, unless you are watching Groundhog day
