We are going to be in Birmingham for a weekend next month and would love some recommendations on good bars

Probably not looking for swinging clubs but more towards fun alternative/gay bars. We always find these great fun

Hurst Street is where the action is. I've no idea what's down there these days though, I'm too old for hetero-normative clubs these days, never mind nights out boozing with the other team. I imagine the Nightingale is still the go-to spot.

Think we might need to try and arrange a bit of a tour with some peeps up for a social. We will be in the area on the 10th and 11th Dec
