what drink would you associate with James Bond?

well Bond will be foregoing his trademark Vodka Martinis, 'shaken, not stirred' of course, in the latest film in favour of Heineken lager - as they were willing to pay millions which helped fund the film

whilst the Bond franchise has not been shy to product place in the past (cars, watches, etc), does the panel think this is a step too far?

The movie studios are not willing to put up as much money as they used to, a kinda Hollywood reccession, nowadays studios share movies, its now common place to see Paramount in association with Fox etc..... its just another way to boost the budget, product placement has always been huge in movies...it wont spoil it for me, just the way it is.

In the films, James Bond was actually served a stirred Martini on most occasions, not a shaken one - despite asking for the latter.

A stirred Martini is clear, whilst a shaken one is cloudy due to the air and minute ice crystals present in the drink (through being shaken with ice). You would think a top secret agent would know the difference!

Probably best he switches to lager; he's obviously not a discerning cocktail drinker!
