"They weren't really bothered that I was training one day and I got a phone call to say that there was no heartbeat," he said, adding how Martyn Moxon, the current director of cricket at Yorkshire, "got me in a room and literally ripped shreds off me" on his first day back.

He said: "I carried my son from the hospital to the graveyard. The way I was treated was not right."

I've been following with story since Rafiq started speaking out. His treatment and the way Yorkshire have dealt with it has been terrible. I'm embarrassed to support them

A gentleman’s sport has today become not so gentlemanly ….. it definitely needs putting back in the box pretty soon! Although I think Yorkshire county cricket club will take years to rebuild trust and confidence

I was listening to it this morning.. and no one organisation came out out it looking good… Yorkshire, the ECB, and most interestingly the PCA, all have things to answer for…

The lack of support from and then the hand washing of the PCA was incredible..

There is no racism in cricket or football or any other sport, not sure why these kind of titles are given to these incidents.

There is racism in society. Full stop. Thats it. That racism then leaks into everything else, for some reason people seem to get up in arms at 'racism in sport' and ignore were it all comes from.

The PM has made racist remarks over the years and Still got the top job in the country. What else needs to be said ffs

As heartbreaking as it is to hear, massive respect to Rafiq for standing his ground and not letting it be swept under the rug. To take on one of English cricket's biggest institutions is admirable and can really see the floodgates opening for calling out this kind of behaviour from all counties.

It hurts to hear now because I love cricket but it's necessary for the sport's future

On FB A video has Circulated today. Of younger lads in their 20's passed n d*unk as skunks. Abusing two gay younger women!

And all the d*unk group made racist comments & remarks coming onto the train in London. Towards an Indian passenger,then all started on those guy girls. Chatting.

Referring to Sex! All on camera recorded and posted on FB.
