… what are your go-to dishes? Or do you like to experiment? Or bit of both??

Tell us your faves.

I typically have the same 5-8 dishes on rotation and occasionally try out new ones. Usually I’ll modify recipes to suit my tastes as well.

I love a curry so am always trying out new ones. Going to knock up a little peanut one tonight actually...

Cottage pie, Mac n cheese, chilli or spag bol. I like to batch cook so I have meals prepared when the kids are at their dads… fell into the trap of getting takeaways or binging on junk food so I’m back on big cooking sessions so I eat better. I much prefer to cook for guests though and I can be a bit of a feeder, you never leave my house hungry

Ooooo, chicken balti, beef casserole with mustard mash, veg and Yorkshire puddings, chilli, spag bol, mac n cheese with spring onions and nutmeg, roast chicken dinner.

However....

I tend to live on salad or "on toast"

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

Something I have not done in a while...

Topside in slow cooker on bed of onions, herbs, crushed garlic (bottled), parsley, mint.

When ready take out (the next day), put on plate to cool. Take the juice & thicken with Bisto onion gravy, garlic butter mashed potatoes & mixed veg steamed.

Toad in the hole with onion gravy from scratch, cottage pie, spag bol, enchiladas and quesadilla, I cook a fantastic full English, and I do this stuffed chicken breast with creamy leek sauce my hubby adores. I make a decent curry I was taught by a Pakistani girl I shared a house with at Uni. And hubby's absolute favourite is my ppork chops with a creamy mushroom sauce. I love making good sauces.

I also love playing about with soup recipes. My favourites are cream of celery or a sweet potato and roasted red pepper. With homemade bread of course.

I'm secretly a frustrated Domestic Goddess who would spend all day in the kitchen if I didn't need to keep the day job. I need a sugar daddy!!

A well made lasagne is the way to get me to do anything!

I seem to be really good at making any kind of curry - although I’m not the biggest of fans of them!

Various stews, curries, bolognese pasta dishes with slight variations. As I use a fair bit of game I like to try experiment a little.

I went though a Mexican phase for a while, started making my own flat breads and corn tacos (needed to be GF). Currently trying out GF (gluten free) Chinese dishes, chicken and sweet corn soup being my go to quick meal.

I'm better with sweet stuff. Love making desserts and cakes. Homemade sticky toffee pudding and cheesecakes are my best sweet dishes.

Savoury I tend to go for simple stuff. I do a pretty good roast.
