Anyone seen the ‘Brass Against’ rock festival water sports story over the weekend? An unexpected way to round off the performance.

Lucky fella many would say - he seems to be enjoying himself!!

Talk about fans taking the piss!

Anyway, it hasn't done the band any harm publicity-wise as even the tabloids are covering them now. There is a vid of the whole song and its obviously staged. The band and the 'fan' knew it was all going to happen. That bit is clear. Plus the other band members don't stop playing or even looked shocked. So they took their "We're sorry it wasn't planned... honest" type Tweet down fairly quickly.

Anyway, its hardly new. Acts like Iggy Pop and GG Allin were notorious for it. I was a roadie for the Sugarcubes back in the day and I remember singer Bjork managing to soak at least 3 or 4 of the unsuspecting and soon shrieking front row before another band member grabbed her and pulled her away. Now that wasn't planned. Neither was the time she did a #2 on stage either - but I wasn't at that one. Phew!

Never harmed her career though. And it won't harm Brass Against.

That’s fair.

I think the difference is these days anything happens, it’s around the world for all to see in seconds instead of remaining part of the great rock and roll mythology.

Indeed yes. I agree.

Latest is the singer is now facing a police investigation. Such an act in public carries up to 1 year in jail apparently!

See what happens...
