Companies wanting reviews

couple, us we him her.

Really getting pissed off with everytime I buy something online despite indicating that I am not interested in any marketing etc...

They constantly want reviews of their services.

So they want a review telling them that they did what I payed them for

I shouldn't have to tell they did well every single time!!

Just me or anyone else?

Some reviews are a god send. Like the women who write reviews in SHEIN but include pictures of them wearing the actual stuff.

Just think there’s so many companies offering the same products it’s really really competitive so they do all they can to make people want to go with them.

I leave reviews on most things especially clothes and local business’.

Annoying as hell. Had a delivery of a new kitchen appliance during the week. Within an hour of the door closing, I had said company on the phone claiming to wish to know how happy I was with the purchase.

I hadn’t even unboxed the f’kin thing yet! Let some used it.

He was a little put out when I explained that I didn’t have time for surveys, I needed a poo.

It annoys me too.

Alas, we also live in an online world where we want to read reviews before we part with our money. In the olden days we just went to shop, maybe had a bit of an exchange, felt the quality and decided there and then whether we parted with our money.

I get fed up with it too. Also the little card thanking you for buying and asking you to let them know privately if you're not happy and publicly if you are. However I understand why they do it, everyone's a critic nowadays and a reputation can be destroyed overnight on Twitter

A lot of times, online reviews don't seem to relate to my experience of the item(s) anyway. I expect most are not real.

I bought some sports underwear from Runderwear - first one single pair (which did the job, very good, left a review). I then bought the same garment again but in a multi pack. I already reviewed the garment and left one "could do better comment" (sanitary pads don't stick to them, otherwise great item) but I'm being bombarded with emails asking for reviews. It's putting me off buying any more, even though they're good!

If you are referring to the automated emails after a purchase , yes.

Other aspects of the phenomena annoy me too.

I used a plumber recently that kept messaging me to leave a review (on a website that i don't have account on ..)

..It annoys me when i watch youtubers & they keep asking to subscribe at the end of the video also..

I've become a little wary but I rarely but anything new without reading reviews.

Mind you we recently stayed in a very well reviewed hotel and can only say that they must have had an off week

I don't trust reviews if all of them are positive or have 4 or 5 stars especially if there's over 20. I know that might sound strange but I actually like seeing the odd dodgy one in their because at least then I know they are real if that makes sense.

It does make sense to me but that's really no recommendation

I don't leave reviews very often.

I ordered my wedding dress online and I did leave a review on that because I found the reviews exceptionally helpful and helped me to choose my dress so thought it might help others.

Problem with reviews are that people are more likely to say that that they didn't like a product rather than when they do. We're all negative bastards at heart

I really don’t mind reviews. As long as a company is using them to identify strengths and weaknesses. I will never really know if they are but from my own experience within companies they have been used to great affect.

Having said that I don’t fill in every review I’m asked for. Just the ones where I have something worth saying. Positive or negative.

It really doesn’t take long to say no to a review request.

However it can take hours sorting out issues with companies who don’t listen to their customers.

How else can a company know how it’s customers feel about their experience without asking?
