"It's British Cheese Week. I bought a cheddar with carmelised onion at the cheese shop in Lyme Regis yesterday but there were so many lovely things to choose. What's your favourite and where do you get your cheeses? " I like a mature Stilton from the cheese shop in Hartington in Derbyshire, or if I'm feeling flush a browse around Neals Yard usually has me walking out with a sharing platter for two

It will have to be onion based as that's what's come from my Dad's allotment. I don't like chutney so just seeking ideas for the best way to complement the cheeses.

"As a patron of british cheese and a former judge at the British cheese awards (& the world awards twice) I feel I should mention that the winner this year was Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Blue cheese which has been declared Supreme Champion at presentation of 2012 British Cheese Awards. Anyone who wants advice or wants to chat cheese please feel free to pm me " Umm, how do you remove the foil from the triangles without making a mess or wasting any cheese?

" This is a tricky one and age old problem. Keep the triangles very cold on the bottom shelf of your fridge. Then using the built in usually coloured red tear strip peel back the first layer. Then using a knife preferably sharp cut the nose (the pointy bit) off the triangle and use the extra space you gain in the foil to extract the rest. Little fuss but no wastage or mess. Enjoy your triangles

"I love cheese! (Good job Gromit!) Have just tried some 'seriously strong spreadable' Oh my word! I loved it! Gonna try the smoked version too mmmmmmm" I love cheese unfortunately, English Cheddars with and without flavourings like chives or chilli, English or French Bries, Swiss Roqueforts and Gruyeres, Italian Mozzarellas and German smoked Cheeses. I think over the years my taste has changed and today I prefer a stronger cheddar to the mild varieties. There are some lovely local cheeses where I live, that never make it to the supermarket - you just have to know where to buy them.
