"I follow Victoria Coren Mitchell on Twitter and she and Claudia Winkleman visited him a couple of times. So I’ve been keeping an eye on his campaign. Unfortunately apart from the publicity I don’t think it’ll prick the conscience of Liz Truss or the Tory Government. Happy he’s decided to now end his second hunger strike, let’s hope it’s not a forgotten battle and it garners someone in power to finally put an end to this. Don’t forget it’s partly Boris fault, she’s in the trouble she’s in. Yes. Boris had previously been involved in the case when he was foreign secretary. In November 2017, he had to apologise after he was criticised for suggesting Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe had been training journalists when she was arrested, rather than on holiday. They both agreed it was a waste of time. Twitter community certainly were on his side. Not read any negative tweets about him and his protest.

A lot of the press were supporting the PM and his plans at the time. At whatever cost.
