Am watching Battle of the Bulge (1965). Famously contains a distinct lack of snow compared to the actual battle.

Name movies that contain obvious factual errors..

Mel Gibson has form... Braveheart, the Patriot, Apocalypto.

My favourites must be from Tarantino;

[spoiler alert]

Hitler dying in 'Inglorious Basterds', and Sharon Tate NOT dying in 'Once upon a time in Hollywood' (obviously, both written as such by QT, not historically inaccurate)

Harry Potter has clearly been fictionalised. That wasn't the Hogwarts or Harry I recall!

The film in which the Americans captured the German enigma machine. A submarine film that I can’t remember it’s name.

In fact any US film that simply forgets that plenty of the Allied Countries helped win the Second World War.

Even a British made A Bridge too Far shows the yanks stomping over alleged British failure to advance onto Arnhem. Truth was Nijmegen was still being fought for and a few tanks in the dark were not enough to relieve the beleaguered paras further up the road.
