Has anyone else noticed how suddenly so many threads just disappear? I mean just normal tread, nothing contentious, are there one minute and gone the next. Are they just deleted by admin? Just curious ( let's not start the curious v bisexual debate though )

Sometimes threads are deleted because the OP asks for it to be, also Sometimes because several have started on the same subject at the same time.

Does it have to meet certain criteria to be deleted when an OP asks for it to be so?

"They break rules-they go."

But if no rules have been broken and the thread starter asks for it to be removed will it be removed?

I'm not sure to be honest.

Iv only ever asked for a thread I started to be deleted a couple of times. One was because I started a part 2 of something not realising someone else had and once because I had messed up the opening post and both were deleted.

Imagine the work that would generate.

I might suggest to FAB that they charge £1.00 a 'within' the rules deletion.

Fortune made.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could view the threads in the deleted threads archives, I’d pay extra membership for that. Would be nice to revisit a lot of my threads!

That's good if that was needed and there seems to be always a few that need to anyway. I was just curious of the process. Thanks

The Katie Price thread was closed by a mod but no reason was given. I've seen similar heated debates go the full distance and auto-closed.

I noticed two really awful ones that were taken down recently too and so pleased they were.

Unfortunately there are still quite a few awful ones that sometimes slip through the net.

If you know there are threads that break rules and yet you don't report them then there's little point in complaining that they exist.
