Are you a tidy inboxer? Do you do your fabmin on the regular?

Or do you, like me, hide in the forum and ignore the box at the top that tells you there are people wanting to chat?

I'm so bad at it. I'll go through short phases of actually looking to see if there are messages from people I'm conversing with, but then I'll ignore it for days or even weeks.

(If we are in the middle of a conversation btw.... feel free to nag)

My inbox, I delete all but those messages from people I’m possibly going to meet.

My outbox is empty so that I have no need to cry myself to sleep when reading the word “deleted”

I’m shit at it. I keep my filters tight but then open for a game, get bombed, can’t deal with it, that pushes down messages from actual friends, so then i miss them and I get agitated and don’t look.. and repeat. I need to keep filtered up really

You do what you like! No one owns you or entitled. I don't delete so i remember conversations, Especially if you get lots of messages and can't keep track of some! Only ones I'll delete are the creepy or rude weirdo ones. Haha

It depends. Most of the time my filters are tight so I don't get an avalanche of messages - I don't see much point in that because I'd end up bulk deleting and missing out on interesting ones. If I've been lax in filtering because of a game I'll just work through them.

Sometimes I have people/conversations I'm very much keen to have and not respond to others. It sounds awful but I have to be in the headspace to talk to people. Different people. I tend to set aside fabmin time if it has built up a bit.

I don't delete any I have responded to, except sometimes by accident. I hate that deleting a message is so damn easy to do accidentally though.

I just feel guilty sometimes for abandoning a conversation after a few messages when I was actually enjoying it, but can't deal with it right then, and then get all anxious about picking it up again so don't, have a panic, and come back to hide in the crowd!

I get anxious when there is yellow. I also get anxious about replying to new messages. So it’s a constant state of flux. So wish messages could be marked a different colour for people I want to chat with.

I dunno where were up to in our convo. I don’t look to see if my messages are read, I just respond if actually see a message before it gets pushed to another page

I'm bad. One day I'll feel super chatty and dying to make plans so reply to loads of people, then I can't keep up with the replies. Plus I don't look at it much at night as my eyes get tired by then and I can just about manage some badly typed forum replies but not proper conversations!

I get really peed off if I send a message and it gets left unread when people show as online. If someone cant be arsed to read them or reply I just delete them and move on, im not wasting my time. I like to keep the inbox and friends list small and tidy.

When I had a couples profile we used to either do it together or video chat and go through messages. I hate seeing loads of notifications on stuff, it bothers me, so I tend to respond or react when I see them.

This has the negative effect of appearing that I’m desperate to respond or chat. I should probably work on that!

Hate notifications or alerts (I've turned them all off on my phone apart from messages from my husband).

Sometimes it takes a little while to get through especially with thread games but it's much quieter now that I'm not a newbie.

My most interesting conversations are in the DM. They are much more in depth and meaningful. I just smash the forums and treat it for what I get from it, a little amusement from some friendly people.

Hopeful those friendly people don’t drift off as strangers and we find ourselves exchanging DM’s.

The in depth and meaningful is the terrifying part though. They're the conversations where you actually have to answer the question "how are you" accurately. Because the person cares. That's hard.

Or do you, like me, hide in the forum and ignore the box at the top that tells you there are people wanting to chat?

I'm so bad at it. I'll go through short phases of actually looking to see if there are messages from people I'm conversing with, but then I'll ignore it for days or even weeks.

(If we are in the middle of a conversation btw.... feel free to nag)

"I like to keep my unread messages at 0.

Hate notifications or alerts (I've turned them all off on my phone apart from messages from my husband).

Sometimes it takes a little while to get through especially with thread games but it's much quieter now that I'm not a newbie.

So..... you've succeeded in doing what I haven't in a way shorter time! Dammit!

I actually have to woman up here and accept that if you with all your gorgeousness and hundreds of messages can be neat and tidy and efficient, I with my few messages a day should be better at it, don't I.

I'd ignore them if I could but I just love talking to you so much posh "

I had nearly 200 unread messages but the other day I did a friend list tidy, deleted friend requests and winks, hid my profile and then hit bulk delete on all my messages in a fit of pique!

I usually keep on top of the messages in my inbox, if I'm feeling a bit under the weather the number of unread does creep up a bit which stresses me out. I don't like notifications waiting for me.

I've been keeping up with it lately, but sometimes I just can't be arsed. Depends entirely on my mood.

If the "can't be arsed" phase goes on for a while I will block all messages from everyone or occasionally hide my profile, saves having messages pile up.

Luckily I don't get millions of messages anyway, so I'm never in the position of having literally thousands unread.
