abruzzo Italy (and UK)

As in, you were walking down a street and passed someone by who looked at you and smiled, or someone you saw once on a bus maybe, or on an opposite escalator, or whatever, and then they were gone, but now, maybe even years later you still remember that moment.

What’s your story?

I wouldn’t say that you have met everyone you have been on a bus with

There is/was a baker in St Ives. I met him, in as much as he served me buns with a smile. He has a face never to be forgotten

A girl on the grass bank at sports day when I was 13.

A woman in purple tights at a bar when I was in my 30s.

A woman on an episode of the USA version of whose line is it anyway last week may well enter this list, check back in a few years…

All exquisite, as appropriate to my age and tastes at the time

Mine was an opposite escalator on the London Underground at a busy rush hour, no way to turn round and get back down again with any hope of finding her

Mine was years ago in M&S. Nipped in to pick up sandwich for lunch. Was one of those jaw dropping moments. I was scruffy & a mess, she was a goddess.

Very strange and never forgotten.

I met someone I've never forgotten before. They were surprisingly down to earth and VERY funny.

I’ve had a lifetime littered with these moments. I either fall for infatuation like a tramp on chips, or very easily pleased.

I believe this is the central premise of James Blunt's biggest hit "You're beautiful".

Purely for research purposes... how do you like your buns served?
