I use bulldog beard oil but to be honest I prefer Luna's hair conditioner as it leaves my beard lovely and soft.

I'm o'naturale for the most part, I do condition it every now and then so it doesn't go like wire wool haha. Otherwise just regular brushing and trimming keeps it looking tidy... interested to see any recommendations that do pop up though, got to be worth a try

My beard is quite short now so other than a daily face scrub I have stopped using products all together.

It really depends on the length of the beard and the look you are after to what products to use.

Yes I cop out answer but any excuse to get on a beard thread

You don’t have a beard then op?

I trim with a number 2. (Don’t be rude ) and that about all the looking after I do with it nowadays.

I've used I don't know how many beard oils and balms over the years, nearly 10 years sporting a beard which is kept at around 7 inches.

I use Odin's Beard Care. Hopefully won't get in trouble for popping the link below, smells gorgeous particularly Thor and Hemidall.

Heavy stubble beard here. One advice is don't cut unnatural razor-straight edges. To me it does not look right. Bull dog beard oil is good.

When my beard was shorter and didn't need much looking after to keep it looking neat, I used Moroccanoil on it. I've still never found anything that makes it as soft and shiny as that stuff did. Strongly recommended.

Now it's longer I need a heavier oil (and more of it) because I have to blow dry every day so I don't look like an electrocuted badger, so I usually use coconut oil because it's cheaper and comes in big pots!

My routine is: Shower - coconut oil (or scented beard oil if I'm being flash) - blow dry/style (just comb it straight, no need for barrel brushes etc) - firm beard balm to condition and keep down the frizz.

As for product recommendations (aside from the Moroccan, obvs) I use a brand called "Runesilk" who do great oils and balms with really nice scents (although the "fire" range is really fucking overpowering, it's like grinding cinnamon sticks into your nose) and their bedtime beard butter is awesome. I always sleep like a log when I use it.

"Honest Amish" make excellent beard balm, although it's pricey stuff.

My overall favourite brand I've tried is one called "Grave Before Shave" - Their bay rum scented products smell AMAZING. Unfortunately it's an American brand, and I've not been able to find a British or EU distributor since that first time I tried it, so the only option is enormous amounts of cash for shipping from the USA. I don't like it THAT much!

I just comb it and run my fingers through it a lot. Tends to stay nice and soft. I find using oil upsets my skin.

And may I just say, it’s nice to see someone appreciating the beard! More than half the profiles I have read recently have stated clean shaven only. Starting to feel persecuted for my god given virility!

Captain Fawcetts booze & bacci is special! I get lots of free products sent to me from companies for my beard (via IG). Massive market and prices can get silly as well as the amount of products. My beard routine is shampoo/condition 2-3 times a week, once a week no oil/balm and once a week soak it in argon oil

Someone mentioned pilot viking..he sell the beard struggle stuff, nice guy, chatted lots, but I'm not a fan of the beard struggle

I tend to use the l'oreal beard shampoo and I favour coconut oil over the actual beard oils.

I'm not keen on many of the beard moisturisers or conditioners. They actually seem to make my beard feel dry.

That said I have very thick beard hairs and it's quite rough so if it gets too long Mrs bang bang won't sit on my face. But then if I trim it too much I stop resembling an extra Vikings. It's a tricky situation really

Treat yourself, its amazing! I've always had comments when wearing it. The balm is quite waxy, so if you like butters and soft balms you might not like it, but balms on other Cpt Fawcetts I've found quite soft.

I make sure I wash mine daily, then I use beard oil - I just get bulldog from the supermarket - or I have a beard wax for if it’s getting unruly, and a comb and soft brush.

I got told off by the barber for trimming it badly, so now I let them tidy it and match the shape of my face.

Feeling slightly hipstertwat about it all, but it does suit me.
