how many of you have been the last poster on a conversation, you just killed it and nobody else can be bothered?

Ahhh, thread killing you mean?

Yes, I am a veritable Grandmaster in this esoteric but highly undesirable art

I was about to post similar, mine just gets passed by usually not sure if I prefer that to killing a thread though… although managed a couple of those too

If it wasn't for the pain and solitude it drives, I'd add it on my CV under hobbies and interests!

Go to the threads I've posted to option; see my name everywhere!

Like a lot of things that feel like a negative reaction to something about ourselves, we notice stuff like thread killing far more than we should. This thread pops up fairly regularly and will always have lots of people who think it applies to them. Do a green arrow check on them and they very likely will have responded waaaaaay more times where they aren't the last poster than ones where they are.

Threads are limited to 175 replies, but rarely get that long. Just plucking random figures out of fresh air, let's say an average thread lasts for 50 posts, and on average a thread has 20 posts before you notice it. That means you should be the last poster in around 1:30 of your replies.

As I said, I've no idea how accurate those figures are, they're just guesses and I'm a little unsure my method is correct but the basic point is, if you post lots of replies then there is a high probability some of them will be the last on a thread, we just notice those ones a lot more than all the others

Mr

Fab.com I navigate it so its worth my while having a profile...I hate the whining and the site administrators, who are all volunteers (i thought volunteering was around charity shops, carers, sponsored abseiling down a building etc). Im calling spearmint rhinos see if they need volunteers to help the girls

Currently only killed 2 of my last 35 threads posted on. Not even a talented thread-killer. Honestly, what even is the point of me?

I average a ban every 6-8weeks. Apart from 1 or 2 I kinda deserved them as I know what gets you banned so....
