Planning on going back to the gym when I get rid of this damn cold... I am have a dad bod but rather have a more slim toned look.

Some say I should skip cardio and just do weights

Some say do more cardio and less weights.. What's the best way to loose that padding around the waist?

You can’t target fat loss, it’s a myth peddled by social media influencers.

Count your calories, do the exercise, whatever it may be. Be in a calorie deficit, and you’ll likely drop body fat.

Whatever you choose, make it what you enjoy, and it’ll be more sustainable, and more likely to continue it.

I’d definitely say a bit of both

I’m no PT but weights definitely burn a few more calories than just cardio but circuits, spinning and hi intense cardio are good burners too

There is no harm in doing both, combine it with a balanced healthy diet and you are on the right path good luck

Nothing wrong with doing both . Weights burn a lot of calories . 10 min cycle even after each session . Maybe a few abs exercises . Combine that and you be fine if you graft

When you go back to the gym. Speak to one of the coaches there. A good coach will set you on an enjoyable path that you will want to stick to.

I’ve had massive fat loss success during the last couple of years, and it’s been down to three things. Good programming, my putting the hard work in to implement it, and eating smartly.

Just remember the basics

Cardio helps your heart

Weight build/maintain muscle so you look better

A calorie deficit helps remove fat so you can see more muscle

Don’t neglect cardio, but if your goal is to look better, you know which 2 to pick

What I find works best for me, especially around the middle region...less carbs
