AMSR - anyone else have it?

So … I recently discovered there’s a name for the extremely pleasurable sensation I get when someone cuts my hair or (don’t laugh!) makes me a sandwich or something similar. It’s called “AMSR” that stands for Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) and is “a calming, pleasurable feeling often accompanied by a tingling sensation.”

Does anyone else get this? What sets it off for you?

I've listened to ASMR videos on YouTube through my earphones almost every night for years now.

Love ASMR!!!! I don’t get the tingles that much nowadays but I used to at the beginning and it was such a good sensation . Like a massage in the brain type thing

Soft voices and whispers would give me ASMR, and sometimes taps

Either way I find them super relaxing so if I’m stressed I’ll listen to some vids on YouTube

Yeah. I keep on trying to find things that set it off. It’s really hard to get it to happen intentionally - it’s almost always “by accident”
