I'm interested to hear of any stories that simply defy explanation, occurrences or events you've experienced that go way beyond the realms of coincidence. Heres mine...

On the afternoon of July 15th last year I was chatting to Diamond Cougar on fab, it was one of those "how's things with you?" Conversations.

I told her that the strangest thing had happened earlier that day and I had no explanation as to why?

I sat down at home and switched on the TV to eat some lunch, adverts were being shown just prior to the 1pm Sky News and for no reason at all I started to cry. I don't mean a whimper or a silent tear but profusely like a baby.

So shocked was I by this I didn't mind telling DC despite the fact that I felt stupid, she said the pandemic was getting to us all and it must have been related to that.

The fact was that none of that effected me at all, my life and work was changed very little by lockdown but feeling a little stupid about this I agreed and the conversation moved on...

Next morning at 8.27am I received a call to say my son had took his own life the previous day, he'd been rushed by ambulance to hospital where he suffered a second heart attack that morning and couldn't be revived.

His death certificate stated the time of death was 12.56pm, exactly the same time I inexplicably cried.

No condolences please, its not a look at poor me thread. Who else though has experienced something funny or serious that they can't explain?

I do believe that we are connected by familieral bonds that can't be seen

I had a similar occcurance when my Mum died.

She was on a ventilator and I had been and sat with her on the Sunday.

I left her and when I walked in through the door felt like something had popped, it felt like a light bulb had gone out and I cried because I knew at that point her soul had left her body.

The next morning the Dr rang me to say that they were removing her off the ventilator to see how 'she responded' of course there was no response. That time of 11:10 was recorded as time of death but I know that it was 2:54 the previous day.

Some things just are

I’ve mentioned this on here previously but ……I was in school one morning and felt a sharp pain in my finger. Just out of nowhere, hadn’t banged it or anything.

Got home and mentioned it to my mum. She asked me what time this was so I told her.

She held up her finger that had a plaster on it. The same finger on her hand as it had been on mine. The plaster was in the same place as my pain had been. She had cut herself preparing veg for tea. It happened at the same time as I’d felt the pain.

I know you don't want sympathy but I can't not say anything, so all I will say is I hope you are doing ok and you find something to smile about in each day.

I'm a strong believer in that we have a 6th sense. I was driving home one day with my son in the car when I saw a car across the road, it had obviously crashed. I put my hazard lights on and stopped. My son asked me why I had stopped. I explained and he said there wasn't a car there. I blinked hard and realised my son was right.

Later that night there was a car crash at the place where I had stopped.

Unexplainable.

Another occurance was the week before my Mum passed away I went to see her on the Monday and she told me that it would he the last time I'd have tea with her she'd be gone by Monday, I asked why she thought that and she said that she had been visited by my Dad the night before and he had told her that everything was ready for her, and everyone was waiting for her of course I took the piss saying "I he visits again tell him I need the lottery numbers"

she was a morbid biddy at the best of times but her predictions correct

Thank you for posting these stories, I know its not always easy revisiting them.

I've always been politely dismissive of such things until that day and its still seems almost too amazing to believe now.

Certain events could always be explained as coincidence or chance but your responses go way beyond that. I have one more...

On the day of his funeral I was in an almighty rush, I had to pick up his flowers from the florist which I'd had made to look like his motorbike and in the same colours too.

I got back and dressed in my suit and was all ready to fly out the door when I realised I hadn't written the card that went with the flowers.

I lovely sunny day it was and I sat down at a patio table and chair set in my garden, I was now running late and in a measured state of panic but had no idea what to write. Right hand holding the pen, left hand holding the card still...

Just like something in a Disney cartoon a single white feather floated down in a pendulum motion right in front of me. I can't over emphasise how animated and dream like this looked, no wind but from left to right maybe 12-15 inches then it settled right on the back of my left hand and I instantly knew what to write.

Perhaps that was coincidence but who knows aye..?

Very much a believer in us having an ability that seems to give us information without using the five senses of: sight, hearing, touch, smell, or taste. There are some phenomena that science simply cannot explain; and whilst not having experienced similar occurrences as shared in this thread, have known others to have shared their experiences with me. Paranormal activity is very real as is the black arts, Ouija board, etc. There’s definitely more to life than meets the eye, that’s for sure.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I had a premonition that I would lose a very precious necklace that I wore every day. I decided not to wear it and when I got home we'd been burgled. The house had been trashed but the only thing taken was the necklace.

It as irreplaceable as my grandmother had used the last of her gold to have it made to her design for me.

Interesting reads all, i do totally believe in the 6th sense (spiritual bond) i believe when we spend time with partners or those closest we become alike a bond, almost as one. These so so many couples that die within weeks of one and other.

I know I can't prove it but sometimes waves of emotions or flickers of life flash infront of me. One time it was Prince Phillip being Involved in some sort of crash, low and behold a couple of weeks later it happened.

I also used to be able to 'predict' the lotto balls when I was younger as they were being drawn on the TV. I would be either spot on or a number or two out.

My 4yo son was talking about my grandad today (he never met him) but wants to go and see his gravestone. Turns out its his 100th birthday today

A couple of years ago a long standing friend (known each other since infant school) died after a heart op. At the funeral the first hymn was one I'd never heard before, none of us mates knew it. The following Sunday I put the telly on just as Songs of Praise started. Guess what the first hymn was. Spooky or what?

Over 25 years ago my Nan became I’ll, I’d had the phone call the night before saying she probably wasn’t going to make it. I slept on the sofa that night, not wanting to wake everyone, I woke up and thought there was someone walking behind me. 10 minutes later I got the call to say she’d passed x

On a mooch

I usually talk in my sleep but this one night it was apparently a coherent conversation, which lasted about ten minutes. I was talking to someone and saying they can’t go yet, it’s not time and anyway I’m coming to stay with you tomorrow and you are getting to meet my boyfriend, also you are going to get a surprise that will make you very happy, ending it with ok I understand and your light will keep shining even though you’re leaving me, we will be good and make it work.

With this I woke to find my boyfriend sat bolt upright in bed. He asked who I had been talking to, I didn’t remember the conversation, but said straight off ‘my nanna, she’s gone’. This was 04.15, then he relayed the conversation to me.

The phone rang at 04.30 and it was my dad. He didn’t need to say anything, I knew already I told him. Nanna died at 04.00 just as my night time conversation began.

My nanna always knew when family members had passed before we got the call and she always said ‘light of life, you know I’m coming to see you before I pass to say goodbye’

Light of my life was her name for me and something between us, when it was only us around. The surprise and reference to we will make it work, I hadn’t seen or talked to my father in 7 years (her son) but we’d been meeting and talking things through for a couple of months and were going to see her together.

Can’t explain any of it, but I like the thought she came and we talked even though it freaked everyone else out.

On the evening I got a phone call that my uncle had died I went to the back door for some fresh air, I opened it to find a black cat sitting there and then it bolted in and wouldn’t leave my lounge. It had never happened before never seen this cat and it was really over friendly it freaked me out. After about 20 minutes it went to the door and ran off, I’ve never seen it again.

When my friend lost her grandma, the family was gathered at someone’s house and the doorbell went. It played a tune it had never played before and never did again. Turned out it was her grandmas favourite song

That’s how my family felt, I just saw it as a good thing.

The other thing that my father has noticed and freaks him a little. When it is just the two of us out for a walk, we always run into a robin at very close quarters, doesn’t seem to happen when others are with us. Nanna always said robins are those who have past saying hello.

Is it Nanna or just a coincidence or my dad on a look out for it? I just say to him she’s making sure we are behaving and getting along

When my daughter was a baby, I did up her nursery by myself. Painted, put up the wallpaper, built the furniture from flat pack and put up some shelves above her cot.

One night in the middle of the night I woke up and thought I should move the cot the next morning incase anything fell from the shelves onto her, or the shelves themselves fell down

I had no reason whatsoever to think this, as I am very capable at DIY.

I couldn't get back to sleep thinking about it, so I got up and gently moved the cot across the room without waking her.

The next morning, we woke to find a shelf had fallen off the wall and was lying on the floor

Mine isnt as spooky as any of the above but yesterday I decided to stop the car to walk up a track I have driven past for about 20 yrs and never stopped but always wanted to see where it would lead. So we did, and it was lovely, passed a lady riding her horse, did a little explore of the woods and fields, heading back to the car and came back upon the same lady now lying on the track minus the horse, and with a broken leg. Ambulance called and horse found etc, but I thought of all the days and times I could have stopped and didnt, but did for that particular moment.

Before that happened to me the day Andrew died I'd have read these stories with total scepticism, however to be normal one minute but suddenly burst into tears at the exact time of his death makes me see things differently.

Only DC if she remembers that days conversation will know I'm not making this up, I've been reluctant to speak of it as it all sounds just too fantastic to believe...

I can't ever believe Jesus took him for his little sunbeam as there was much long suffering in his life but who knows?

I do however think the spirit lives on, that the bonds of love are never broken and if the Robin you see reminds you of your Nanna then that's the sign she's chosen for you.

If all this has any truth then we all gonna be together again someday, somewhere...

Thank you for all who posted and those who may still do.

Oh my goodness, how could I of missed this post. I remember that conversation well….

It’s gratitude itself to know that a random conversation helped you get through that day and the darkest ones that followed.

You have come a long way since then, much stronger too I’ll bet

Much love
