Nice things that happened to you

Last night I went to an event to watch the fireworks and had no ticket. They were all sold out. Standing by the side, watching a beeline moving slowly to the security scanning tickets, I evidently looked like someone working on an idea. That's how an old lady I had helped with directions earlier approached me and said 'I got an extra ticket and I don't think the person is coming, would you like to join me in'.

Wow, some people can be so nice

Offering money to the old lady for the ticket would have been an insult to her generosity, so I will look for my own day to be generous to someone random. Kindness keeps the world going. Have you had a beautiful experience too?

I always look out for opportunities the help total strangers as you never know when that moment of kindness might help someone struggling with a bad day

The Town by The Cross

Yeah. I told my friend I'd text him through the evening as I walked to the train - got the train home and walked from the station ......

He took me out to my destination - waited while I was in the theatre - he drove me home....

He said it was for all my kindnesses..... how lovely

You are very right. A simple conversation of kindness itself can make someone's day.

I’m certainly a big believer in the ripple effect

It’s always nice to have opportunities to ‘pay it forward’

I don't socialise enough to be the receiver of "good deeds". Although a smile goes a very long way and I appreciate it.

I try and do little bits here and there to brighten peoples days.

Wolverhampton

Let's hear it for the old ladies.

Yesterday 5 hour train journey home from Scotland. Got delayed. Had to change trains twice. Tilting trains as well, which make me nauseous. 3 kids going mental being stuck on there.

Final train and nice old lady got talking to my kids. Talked about school work, books, played with the play doh and made things with them. It was pure joy. My stress levels went down, my headache went and I even enjoyed the journey from that point

You are right. There was a pay it forward challenge some years back, we should do it again.

Horsham

I helped a mum get her baby and pushchair, get up to her flat on the top floor. I was told the lift had broken down in our block earlier in the day, I nipped down to put the bins out. As I came back in to the block, I saw her and her baby in the buggy. I offered to help them up, then she said we live on the fourth floor.

Not a big hassle for me, but it helped her at that time.

Got me a kitten, I had another opportunity to rescue another little soul that may have ended up crossing the rainbow bridge far too soon.

Paying it forward can mean so much to someone who might be having one of those days.
