My answer is always the same Elizabeth the first. Although in reality I probably wouldn't enjoy it very much

When we look at "successful" people we see their successes - the money or power they had. What we don't see is their minds. They are a likely as us to have self doubts and insecurities plus, a far higher percentage have high psychopathy scores.

I can't tell you who from history I would want to be because I don't know their name. I'd pick someone who was happy with their life, found joy in the world around them, lost loved ones only to old age after a long and happy life. Someone who didn't suffer crippling self doubts, existential angst, fear or pain, never suffered the c pain of rejection and lived a life free from hunger, war and disease.

I've no idea if anyone has achieved this but if they have, that's who I'd be.

Mr

Prince Siddharta Gautama

Who would leave the comfort of his palace to become the person we now know as Buddha

As a practicing Buddhist myself this is the first historical figure that springs to mind

There are others but he is probably the most inspirational figure in history for me

Elizabeth I. She didn’t take any shit. She didn’t need a man. She was the daughter of my fave monarch. She was awesome and a fellow redhead.

If you're insane, do you know you're insane? Obviously some mental health conditions leave you horribly self aware but when you have that level control over others would you believe it is a problem?

Loads of rumours about her including that she was really a man the real princess having died and been replaced by the 'Bisley boy' or was intersex

This is always a good icebreaker question and a good way of knowing how someone ticks. Get people to name what (dead) person of the opposite sex they admire the most or would want to be for the day

Henry VIII

I wouldn't create a made up religion, just to divorce my wife, which resulted decades of years of conflict in my home country.

Isn't that what catch 22 is all about if you know your insane you are sane enough to know your insane so can't be insane

Lived in quite frightening times, but she was a strong woman and someone to be admired. Couldn't stand Henry VIII

I think Henry did what he needed to do to protect the monarchy, which is what any king or queen does, even now. He wasn't a nice man by any stretch of the imagination but seemed to undergo a bit of a personality change after a head injury. Elizabeth was treated shabbily as a young womanthere's no doubt but she was hard as nails.
