Id like either a Mustang or Impala.

You can pick up Mustangs fairly cheap because there are a lot of them about as they were mass produced. Unfortunately the bulk of them are in poor condition so would need a lot of work.

i have been lucky enough do drive many classics from mundain to ultra rare, and all of them dissapointed in some way, old cars are old cars, the worst was a db5 astin, i so wanted to love it, but id was aweful, no i just look at classics fondly and admire the looks etc, but dont want to own or drive any, shame, but modern cars spoil you. i know they have carecture etc, but thats just another word for dont work properly or are crap to drive. Same for classic bikes, would love a z1000 like i had in my teans, but in reality it was a bit crap to ride, maybe thats part of the fun and im missing out, dont know.

Well I own a 1972 Mini Clubman with a 1380cc engine in. Built it all myself, restored the car in 2016, did the current engine and box last year.

I still have my first car! 1994 Mini Sprite. It’s rotten and not been on the road since Xmas 2012 but I’ll restore it one day.

My current daily is unusual - Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B. Very practical and a pleasure to own, drive and work on.

Car I regret selling the most was my S14a Nissan 200SX

My “realistic” dream car was always an R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R in Midnight Purple on BBS LM wheels in gold. However they are £40+k now.

I fancy the current (S550) Mustang 5.0 V8 too.

"Were the 180sx a turbo or non turbo? I know the later Sylvia's had sr20's but I'm not sure on the 180's "

Right here we go;

Yes, the 180SX came with the SR20 in N/A and turbo form. No variable valve timing.

The 180SX initially came with the CA18DET as found in UK S13 200SXs.

All the later Silvias/200SX (S14, 14a, S15) had the SR20. You could get a non turbo one in Japan and the USA ones had a crappy KA series engine.

I had a UK S13 when I was 21 and the car I wish I still had now was my second 200SX, a 1999 S14a. Not messed with, one owner from new.

I was badgered into selling it by my ex Mrs whilst I was doing lots of exams for work. Still pissed off about that now, 8 years later.

I would love another one but the survivors fetch strong money now. Fabulous cars.
