The Protection Zone details issued today refers to all premises with poultry birds kept indoors or outdoors (not pet budgies etc) and is for people NOT told they are inside a more stringent set of measures (usually within a certain kilometre radius of confirmed H5N1 cases). Schedule 1 biosecurity measures apply to "backyard" keepers of fewer than 500 birds. The details of what Schedule 1 means is in the PDF at the link I posted in the OP. | |||
