It has been speculated by scientists that anywhere between 70 to 93 percent of all human communication is nonverbal.

With this in mind, how adept do you consider yourself at reading a person’s body language?

….and now for the sex stuff: Whilst we display most body language unconsciously, when meeting someone you are attracted to, do you have any specific non verbal signals that you DELIBERATELY employ as a visual cue to your intended, that you are receptive and indeed, highly desirous of engaging in….carnal relations? Ahem

I’m very over friendly can you tell I’m the same in real life at first I’m nervous but once I’m comfortable with you I’m very friendly some would say I’m flirting when it comes to knowing if someone is attracted to me I’m completely useless

I’d like to think I’m good at reading body language, I find eye contact is a way of getting someone’s attention and then there’s that knowing look when you know it’s right

Guys tend to start getting a bit touchy feely, sitting closer and touching your leg or hand.

I generally know when they fancy me, though not always at first.

It can be cringey if you’re not feeling the attraction, so usually I find a polite way of batting it off

I wouldnt say I deliberately do anything tbh, best advise is to try and be yourself

If I like someone I would make plenty of eye contact, engage in active listening, give them a wee nudge if we were walking (gentle nudge now, I wouldn't want to knock her in a ditch early on

)

If I was feeling brave a wee touch of the shoulder or elbow and brush of the hands to see if it was reciprocated.

I think I read once that if someone fancies you they tend to copy what you do but if I realised I was copying someone else's movements I'd probably tell myself to stop being a wierdo and relax

Be yourself and make them smile is always a good starting point tho

I’ve just been reading (I really can) and apparently, for ladies, accidentally-on-purpose brushing a hand over her breast is a common sign of sexual attraction (the lady does this chaps - you keep your hands off for now)

Ladies: Do you do this or is this research but bovine ordure?

Mmm I'm quite good at reading body language in a day to day setting like work etc.

But I'm useless at flirting so wouldn't have a clue if someone was trying to give me an non verbal sign - I'm also rubbish at giving them myself

I consider myself quite knowledgeable when it comes to it.. I started reading literature back in secondary school as one of my teachers introduced us to the concept. I always found it fascinating, same for eye movement and micro expressions. Those are much harder to detect though.

Amazing and pretty funny TV show on that topic is Lie to me. Anyone has seen that? Tim Roth was good in it.

Glancing up to the left, conversely, is said to be indicative of honesty (I am looking at my feet meanwhile)

Ostensibly, two more non-conscious signs of sexual attraction to another person are prolonged body glances and a notable increase in involuntary licking of ones lips.
