I think they were certainly more entertaining and varied a few years ago, but some of the good people who used to post have left the site, some have changed the way the post, and overall I think people are so much more wary of what they post these days for fear of offending others. I think people tend to follow the crowd these days more too instead of speaking their minds, to avoid controversy, offense and upset and of course the naughty step.

The nadir was achieved when the prevalence of "rate my..." threads occurred.

From a site that pretends to be non judgemental and all inclusive...

Anyway, the answer to most threads is "yes" to women and "no" to anyone else

I do sometimes think that & cringe at some of the subjects, easiest thing is not to open that thread & move to another. Better still, if it starts to niggle you, is take a break & stay off the site for a few days. Come back with a fresh head & fresh thoughts. That has saved me from leaving, quite a few times.

And some of those people (many of them) are the ones also joining in, starting threads, posting regular photos, playing the challenges, responding to people. So they are more known and recognised. I recognise it happens though. But if I get missed out on a thread, it's not really a big deal. Some threads are probably not worth joining for that reason.

We've been around for about 18 months, it seems it's pretty similar (the forums) to when we started, i.e some threads seemed very much for "friends" and others seemed more open etc. Would you say it's similar/different to previous years? Genuinely interested because I suppose we've not been around long, in the grand scheme and others have.

Always prevent your chickens from eating Rhubarb as it’s ostensibly poisonous to them.

This happens a lot. Time and attention management in most parts. That’s why a thick skin is useful here. I don’t have the time to micro manage Fabs and most people I think get that.

Interesting. Thanks for the correction. Seems it was a drink campaign even before the drugs campaign. But as they say, never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Maybe more drink and drugs would liven up the forum?

I like the threads that promote discussion. Or help people with information about things you might not want to ask 'real life' people about.

There's less of those types these days but still some good helpful ones quite recently.
