Let's be honest are you one of these people who wants to save the world

by sitting down on a main road hoping not to get knocked down

The world needs saving but those that sit and glue them selves to road are doing no one any favours.

Modern houses are very well insulted and the Governments since the late 90s have been trying to help get older properties insulated.

I had my house that i lived in back in 2001 insulated by a goverment scheme did wall caverties and loft

So not sure what they want. All they seem to do is create traffic jams that cause more pollution as cars are held up by an extra 30 mins to an hour while the drivers sit with engines idling even the best stop start system after 30 mins in a traffic jam is going to not make a difference as the cars computer will stop the sytem to save battery life.

I'm all for saving the world but gluing yourself to the pavement isn't gonna save anyone.
