How quickly do you text back after you have read a message?

Or are you one of those people that just accumulates them and forgets to read your messages?

If at home I respond quickly, at work I'm not allowed to access my phone so they build up a bit til lunch or when I get home

It depends on from whom the text is from. I try to reply to friend and family quickly. Work can sit and wait if it’s out of work hours.

If the reply needs thought I leave it until I have had time to think about it.

If it's to arrange something or it's something easy I'll reply straight away.

"Reply straight away, if I've time to read it I've time to reply "

This isn't always true for me. Sometimes you just know that a quick reply won't do. For me it completely depends on so many things. I don't have a set standard.

.

I don't forget messages but I have to be in the right headspace, have the time and desire to reply. I tend not to leave it too long before I do reply to a lengthier message, it just depends on my frame of mind really.

Sometimes I reply straight away, other times I mentally reply and come back to it and out 3 days later when I realise I haven’t sent a response

I reply nearly instantly unless it’s something I know I don’t want to deal with

I tend to leave things unread until I've got you've to reply. Otherwise whoever sent it will see me open it and think I'm just ignoring them.

Don’t get messages unless it’s someone wanting me to help financially or manually. When I ask for someone to do me a favour ( not financial) total silence,

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

Reading this thread has prompted me to:

a) Find my phone

b) Put it on charge

c) Switch on and go to inbox.

d) Read the 1 solitary text sent 6 days

ago telling me that the window

cleaner would be coming the next day

and would I make sure the gate was

unlocked.

When it's convenient and I can give it my attention. It's not hard to keep track, I don't get many.

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

Depends who the text is from

Close friends/Family - as soon as is possible

Fab friends - usually fairly quickly

I had an ex that used to delay replying for hours, it used to drive me nuts! How long does it take just to drop a short reply to say you’re busy but will get back to you!

Depends on the context , for example I have 800 Odd messages which would require a marathon session of answering and a shed load of coffee

Depends on the person, how busy I am and it's importance. But I am guilty of clearing the notification and forgetting about it sometimes.
