If it wasn't for the kids we wouldn't bother with Xmas decorations. Ours goes up during the first week of December and not a chocolate is left on the tree a week later.... which is a crimbo routine that my kids adore

I’m busting to put my tree up cos I’ve bought a new one this year 7.5 feet. Need to give the whole house a deep clean first. I’ll probably put them up 13th or 14th of November cos the weekend after that my daughter is with her dad and we both want them up asap.

I let my son decide. His birthday is 2 weeks before Christmas. If he wants the house decorated purely for his birthday I will oblige. So far he's always chosen to have Christmas and birthday decorations up for his big day

I've got my Halloween tree up at the moment. When I got it out of the box it kinda snapped so its taped up. As soon as I find another tree I'll do the old switcharoo.

I bought a new tree so had to make sure it fitted and seemed rude not to keep going.

I don't, last time I had a tree my dog pulled all the baubles off and ping ponged them around the living room before pulling the tree down and dragging it out of the back door....well I assume it was the dog, and I took it as a sign that we didn't approve of that them
