Placeing them flat on surface like a wall or something works well

Or if it’s like a bed shot try place them on your thighs or something works well for me

I never know what to with them either. I have a tendancy to put a hand on my hip which I think makes me look like a cocky bitch, so I try hold something or, if all else fails, just crop them out altogether!

But no, have a look at Google for pose ideas..

Hands on hips, covering boobs, one arm across boobs and other down your body, on your thighs and sometimes behind the body can work x

I tend to take videos and screen shot from there or use the self timer on my phone to give me a bit of time to see what angels/hand placement etc looks better - it’s all trial and error really xx

Hands high on hips, one hand on shoulder or near face and the other on the waist/hip/thigh. Also putting one arm up can be good. Either arm over head, elbow against the wall, hold on to the door frame, etc. Also think about soft hands and softly spreading fingers to avoid claw hands

Yes there’s some things that just work like rule of thirds , phi grid, rule of odds, focal length , depth that professional photographers use. You don’t need to understand them just look at enough good portraits and glamour pics and see what looks good
