Wotsits can vary greatly in quality. Sometimes you can get the over crunchy ones that have lost their kick. But when you get a pack with soft melt in your mouth ones, then it's been a good day...

The British season is coming to an end which probably explains it.

The thing is we're used to tomatoes and cucumbers all year round. Nobody bats an eyelid at salad with Christmas Day cold cuts. I don't particularly want to go back to 1947 where ingredient availability is concerned.
