Let's have some appreciation for the oh so slim ladies on here which I love to see.

Never message because there really isn't a point but fabulous to look at all the same

Im always polite, and generally no answers natter how polite. But it's okay, I know they will be inundated and I'm the wrong side of 50

But I always thought the abbreviation was for big beautiful women.

You’re referencing the size of the chest area there and I don’t think that’s reliant on body size.

For example…

My french teacher at school was called Neenah and she had a very very ample chest but was incredibly slender.

I loved that woman, I once took her an apple to school but I got hungry in maths which happened to be before french that day and I eat one side of it.

She still thanked me in her delicious accent after I explained what happened.

Good times.

Why would you say no point in messaging? Always nice to have a compliment.

I ask as we talked about this only yesterday, it feels somedays that slimmer isn't very popular on here and interested to know if there's a reason other than personal preference?

It’s Interesting to hear you don’t message slim ladies because there’s no point! You could be missing out on ladies who are looking for your age group and size etc, you just never know right! Do you think they look for something in particular that you can’t offer? It’s great to hear that there’s appreciation for a smaller lady too, I know I definitely enjoy seeing them on here Miss pc

It's just my experience on here, been here multiple times. Had profiles with face pics etc, sent very polite messages to all sorts of ladies, and received no replies from slimmer ladies. As I said my age counts heavily against me. But I appreciate them all the same.

I think that here (as in society in general) vocalising a preference for slim women is taken as a form of body shaming for those who aren't. Being overweight does carry a lot of negative connotations so this may be fair. In a similar vein there have been a number of appreciation threads for black women. While these often spark strong opinions, no one would dream of starting a thread for white woman appreciation.

My sense of fairness hates these kinds of hypocrisies but my empathy understands them. When you've been made to feel shit about your body it is understandable that you will see praise of a body you can only dream of as yet another dig. As a slim guy who has to work really hard to keep the weight off I also understand that just because others think you have the perfect body shape it doesn't mean you don't have your own insecurities.

Really interesting, thank you for the reply and hound said very similar... its great to hear other people's opinions. I am all about everyone being happy and confident the way that they are, so maybe hadn't seen it from the negative side, I just happen to feel more confident and happy the size I am... Mr would defo prefer a bit more meat on my bones but we all need to feel good about ourselves first.

Its a tricky one...everyone has their own preferences, but sometimes that also means that someone might feel knocked if they are turned down.

Thank you again, great response

My partner is convinced I would prefer someone skinnier - it doesn't help that my ex wife was very petite. Are you sure it isn't just you that thinks he would prefer you with more meat on your bones?

We kinda touched over about it yesterday on a thread I did as it is seems like curvy is what most men seem to like (while thin is what seems to be more of a female collective idea) generally

And totally, I mean body happiness doesn’t come just because somebody might be naturally thin/slim (think of like not liking own small boobs and being conscious of it for example)

I think tho that either way, if someone is attractive, Is attractive no matter what her size is
