Gmail emails not working properly.

Anybody have any idea why my Gmail’s are not working properly?

I can send emails to anybody other than myself, & certain people PayPal & Apple for example I can receive emails from. My OH sent me an email & I haven’t received it, it’s weird.

I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled the account & it’s made no difference.

I’ve tried from my mailbox on my iPhone the Gmail app & the Google website all with the same results.

Can anybody explain what might be going wrong.

I would reset your password asap in case you have been hacked or something. Sounds strange to me...you can only email a few companies is that correct?

Have you checked for updates? This may be a daft question as you uninstalled and reinstalled, sorry.

There was an update this morning and mail sending was really slow afterwards.

Have you been hacked and emails are being diverted? Happened to my mum recently (not gmail, but email)

There has been a massive DDos this week, this time for VOIP telephone systems. It partly affected our work system.

It doesn’t always stop things working but can produce delays or blocks. This could explain why some emails get through but not others.

No not correct, only certain emails are coming to me, I can send to anybody except myself, when I do it says it’s sent but it doesn’t come in, it doesn’t create an outbox either.

I haven’t done any of that, it’s a recent thing & haven’t changed anything. Our friends sent us an email which we received, but my OH one that got sent hasn’t been received. There’s no rhyme or reason what comes in & what doesn’t.

I don't know what the problem is, but a lot of my incoming mails have gone in to the promotions inbox on gmail.

Google mailboxes are terrible tempermental.
