I do a mean chicken, mushroom & leek pie with a rough-puff lid. I'd take that over any pukka you care to mention, so that's probably my favourite. Unless you count pasties?

As for sweet pies, gimme a nice deep fill mince pie any day. Glorious stuff.

I feel like as a non meat eater we miss out on the delights of pies. However controversial but I do make a mean quorn cottage pie.

Is a pie even a pie if it doesn’t have pastry? Can a mash topped pie count??

Another vote for steak and kidney pie here.

As for a sweet one, there's far too many to choose from. But I do love a good cherry pie, swimming in custard. Delicious

I always see pies as very English, the only savoury pie I like is steak, but has to be with puff pastry, not shortcrust. Fruit pies on the other hand, I adore!

I missed the sweet pie!

Apple probably.

Honourable mentions to apple and rhubarb.

And if we're open top, key lime but I consider that a tart.
